出生於牙買加的客家人後裔，Clive Chin（陳客禮）是繼已故藍狄唱片行 (Randy’s Records) 創辦人 Vincent “Randy” Chin 之後，當今最重要的華裔雷鬼音樂幕後推手之一。年少時期開始在大名鼎鼎的「藍狄 17 號錄音室」 (Randy’s Studio 17) 協助父親從事唱片製作，見證錄音室將1960至1970年代重要的雷鬼樂人 The Wailers、Dennis Brown、Gregory Issacs 等推上風雲榜。作為當時的聲音工程師助理，Clive Chin 正是將鮮明的貝斯與鼓聲，形塑成今日草根雷鬼、dub 及反叛搖滾等經典節奏的奠基者。70 年代他為舉足輕重的雷鬼樂人 Augustus Pablo 製作的兩張專輯《Java! Java! Java!》和《This Is...Augustus Pablo》，深刻影響了後世雷鬼樂人的創作。
 
Clive Chin 曾在香港、上海等地區分享其音樂製作經驗，將會是他首度來台，與台灣樂迷和觀眾們近距離暢談牙買加客家華人與雷鬼，本次影展特別限定，切·勿·錯·過！
 
This is an event not to be missed for any music fan. Learn about the Hakka Chinese connection to reggae and reggae history straight from the source, the highly-influential producer Clive Chin. Born and raised in Jamaica, Chin oversaw some of the earliest recordings by early reggae superstars such as Bob Marley and the Wailers, Dennis Brown and Gregory Issacs, and then went on to help shape the direction of Dub music.
