加拿大多倫多的一間錄音室裡，鼓動著血液的雷鬼音樂流瀉而出，演唱者是李麥克和他的兩名團員，他們的樂團名稱叫作「中國城」(Chinatown)。他們都是第三代牙買加客家人，與百年前的祖先一樣，遠離家鄉來到異地生活，血緣、語言與文化與的多元混種，成為他們奔放生命力的養分，在音樂中落地生根。
"Chinatown" is a Jamaican Hakka Chinese reggae group living in Canada, and the subject of this documentary, which originally aired on Canadian Sun TV. Many Chinese immigrants to Jamaica in the late 19th century were of Hakka descent, and by the 1980s and through the 1990s, large numbers from this community had emigrated to Canada. The band "Chinatown" is made of up a trio of third-generation immigrants in Toronto who proudly highlight their Hakka roots in their music.
