FILM SYNOPSIS
For Chinese born and raised Indonesia, their "homeland" is a foreign land. This documentary looks at how Chinese Indonesians maintain their traditions and ethnic identity through performance art, in a story about both the past and present. The film aims to capture a progressive side of Indonesia through the experience of the local Chinese residents, most of whom are descendants of people who emigrated there several centuries ago.
