​

一切都從印度總理英吉拉甘地被刺殺開始，全國各地將近三萬名錫克教徒遭到暴徒殺害，而後政府在新德里邊界，為三千名錫克教寡婦及其家屬設置狹小封閉的「寡婦村」(Widows Colony)，但每一次安撫與承諾，只是更加突顯大屠殺未被認真討論，以及她們飽受忽視的辛酸。29 年後，導演來到寡婦村，耗費超過四年時間取材，以三位勇敢的女性為主，分享她們如何與政治周旋、與記憶的黑洞共存。大量旁白和珍貴檔案影像編織過去現在，長時間建立的信任關係，得以窺見最私密的觀點。

 

In 1984, nearly 30,000 Sikhs were killed across India in retaliation after Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her Sikh bodyguards. Most of the people killed were men who were the prime bread-winners in their families. Their widows relocated to a development called Metropolis New Dehli, widely known as "Widows Colony." The film offers a glimpse at the lives of three women from the colony, as they cope with memories of their loss and continue to seek justice.

蒂娜·考爾　Teenaa Kaur

 

印度獨立導演、製片和編劇，2012 年於印度電影電視學院修讀電影，首部電影劇本《紅色秋天》(The Red Autumn) 獲得時代華納基金會 (Time Warner Foundation) 培育影視人才獎學金。她曾於印度最大電視台 Zee TV 擔任廣告製作人，具有電視與媒體等多方面經驗，亦製作過多部電視紀錄片，關注自然生態與文明關係、印度社會正義等議題，本片為其首部獨立紀錄片。

 

Teenaa Kaur, who hails from Mumbai, is a director, producer and screenwriter with broad experience in television, working for broadcasters such as Zee TV, National Geographic and Fox History. She won India's National Film Award for Best Investigative Film for "1984 - When the Sun Didn’t Rise."
