出生於伊朗德黑蘭，自 2009 年起開始向伊朗的音樂名師們學習演奏達夫鼓 (Daf)。2012 年開啟了 Daf 演奏家的職業生涯，2013 年 12 月即獲得了魯達基文化藝術基金會頒發的達夫鼓(Daf)演奏家晉級證書。

Mona 曾與數個音樂合奏團及管弦樂團作，包括 "Nasout Music Ensemble", "Daf Navazane JAM Orchestra" , "Iranian Orchestra for New Music" ,"Tehran Inter-Orchestra", “MojeNo Orchestra"等，也在多個國際音樂節進行演出。

2016 年，Mona 與一群被她激勵的學生及朋友們，共同創立了由她領導的 “Barin Ensemble” 合奏樂團，並於德黑蘭舉辦過數次專場演出，並積極參與表演活動。除了專業演出，Mona 也做 Daf 鼓與波斯節奏的講授，在數個音樂文化機構指導 Daf 的表演，同時也做個人的傳授。

五年前，在掌握了 Daf 之後，Mona 開始另一個樂器的學習之路，Tanbour 是她的第二個樂器。她於 2017 年正式成為伊朗音樂協會會員。目前定居台灣的 Mona，在 2018 年正式取得台灣的專業藝術家演出許可，展開了她在台灣極為活躍的演奏與教學生涯。2019「流浪之歌音樂節」是她在台灣參與的第一個國際音樂節，在此次的演出中，除了她擅長的、技藝精湛的獨奏演出外，也將首次與來自西班牙的 Yerko Lorca 及台灣的 Kuan Yin 合作，呈現全新的樂組與曲目。

Mona Kaveh Ahangar (born in Tehran, Iran, 1982) is an accomplished Iranian percussionist and instructor specialising in the Daf, a large frame drum used in Persian and Arabic music. She started studying the instrument with renowned Iranian masters of the instrument in 2009, and holds an advanced certificate for the Daf from the Roudaki Cultural and Art Foundation. She has performed with various groups in Tehran, including the Nasout Music Ensemble, the Daf Navazane Jam Orchestra, the Iranian Orchestra for New Music and the Tehran Inter-Orchestra. She is also the founder of the Barin Ensemble, based in Tehran. Mona has been teaching and performing in Taiwan since 2018.
